Support Association of Animal Park Suhl
We are delighted to once again introduce the Support Association of Animal Park Suhl (Förderverein Tierpark Suhl e.V.) as the official charity of EAST 14.
After the fantastic collaboration last year, it quickly became clear to us that we wanted to continue our support. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised an outstanding €14,200 in donations during EAST 13. These funds are being used this year to expand and enhance the porcupine enclosure—a project that directly benefits the animals and would otherwise have taken much longer to become a reality.
This year’s donations will help fund the construction of a new bathing area in the moose enclosure, providing the female moose with a place to cool off and relax. In addition, the alpaca enclosure and the fallow deer habitat will be redesigned to make them more functional, more natural, and more enriching for the animals.
The adjacent animal rescue center is also a key focus. Thanks to a government grant approved at the end of May, a new veterinary treatment and quarantine facility for dogs and cats can now be built. It will provide a safe and dedicated space where injured, sick, or abandoned animals can receive care, treatment, and the support they need to recover.
